  • Homecoming tickets are $15 and will continue to be sold online under the Homecoming tab of GoRebs.org until lunchtime on Friday. You can only purchase one ticket at a time. You should use your student ID number as the access code. If you are bringing a date that is not from our school, you must submit the proper paperwork and then stop by to see Mrs. Knox to receive your access code for their ticket. That paperwork can be found under the Homecoming tab of GoRebs as well. If you are having any problems purchasing your tickets, please email Mrs. Knox or stop by her room 3109 with your questions.

 

  • If you are interested in working in the Rebel Branch of Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union, your applications are due by 3 pm TODAY to Mrs. Averitt in room 6205 or Mrs. Felicia in the bank. 

 

  • Have you joined the Student Life Google Classroom yet? Information on things like the Homecoming Dance and last week’s Cornhole Tournament are in there.  QR codes and the join code are posted around the school or you can see Mrs. Knox for more information. 

 

  • If you are interested in testing….
    -The AAPPL foreign language test’s registration deadline is September 18. See Mrs. Ballance in 2207 for more info.

-The ASVAB test’s registration deadline is this Friday. You can see Mrs. Williams or any U.S. History teacher for more information.

 

  • Today during all lunch shifts, West Monroe High School will be hosting a Club Fair. This will be your chance to check out what clubs you might be interested in and learn more about them. Be sure to check this out. There really is a club for everyone.

 

CLUB NEWS:

 

  • If you are interested in History Club, applications are due tomorrow to Mr. Aswell. 

 

  • If you are a freshman and want to join Student Council, applications are due to Mrs. Jones by 3:00 THIS FRIDAY. Applications for class representatives and freshman class officers can be found under the “extracurricular” tab on gorebs. org

 

  • The Rebel Art Club is now accepting applications. Things to know: If you are currently in art or have taken art at WM, you may pick up an application outside Mrs. Lengefeld’s room - Room 1109. Current and former art students have first priority to membership. If you aren’t in Mrs. Lengefeld’s class, you need a reference from your art teacher.

 

  • Any WMHS student who earns a 30 or higher composite score on a single ACT exam is eligible to be honored by induction into the 30+ club. To apply, fill out the application form located on Mrs. Gulde’s teacher page on gorebs.org. Also, be sure to upload documentation of your scores that includes your name and is visible. 

 

  • Friday is the deadline to purchase your Biology Club t-shirt. You should go to the online student payment page to pay the $15 and to choose your size. No extras will be ordered, and no late orders will be accepted. These club t-shirts are for students who joined the club by participated in the collection of pet supplies for the animal shelter. If you missed that, please try again next year. 

 

  • Interact students should stop by Mrs. Knox's room today to pick up a permission slip to help decorate Edgewood for the Homecoming dance on Friday. You will also be able to choose the name for the back of your Interact t-shirt at that time. 

 

SPORTS NEWS: 

 

  • The Lady Rebel Volleyball has a match tonight at C. E. Byrd. If you can’t come watch the ladies, you can catch the live stream on WM’s YouTube channel.

 

  • The Lady Rebel Softball team is hosting open practices. If you are new to WMHS or interested in trying out for softball, you need to attend these practices. The first one is tomorrow, Thursday Sept 7, and you need to pick up a packet of information from Coach Daigle in Room 3207 or Coach Pate in Room 1219 before you attend. 

 

  • The football team is heading to East Ascension for their game this Friday. You all did a great job wearing RED last week. This week, the theme is patriotic. So, find your patriotic stuff and get ready to support the football team.
